Still chugging along!

It's been a while, I think . . . like 2 dogs, 4 kittens, 2 guinea pigs worth of time. :) One dog (Netta) has come and gone--we realized it was a cat hunter (part whippet) and could never settle down about having cats around. It now lives in another home in town, and sounds like it's going well. During our Netta time, our skittish Tassu-cat had 4 kittens. We're down to two, which need to find new homes really soon. We will still have Leo (who now has a few inch tail stump, and has really fattened up for winter!), and Tassu (skittish=not so fun cat, but a good mouser, and doesn't run around the countryside, so we'll keep her, I guess.)

And a couple months ago, the girls got free baby guinea pigs . . . they've enjoyed them! But since their dad suddenly agreed to get an 'inside' dog, and did research and pondering, deciding to get a miniature poodle, we hunted around until we found one. An apricot colored male puppy, was about 10 weeks when we got it. First was named Three-Quarters, and Quarter for short. But since we realized that's too hard for Finns to say, the name has changed to Tex. Let's see if that one sticks. Anyway, besides the potty accidents (and a bit of lost sleep at night, but not too bad, considering) we've sure had fun with the puppy in the house!

Kids are well into the school year--in fact, they just had fall break last week.

That's it for now ... maybe I'll post some pics, too. Have to post from my phone . . .

  1. Fun! It sounds like so much fun to have so many critters around, but I think we have decided to stick with just the two for now. I'm sure we'll always have pets, although sometimes it would be nice to be able to go on a trip without having to worry about who's going to take care of them. Anyway, I checked the settings on my blogs a while back and they all seem to have the right settings for commenting, so maybe you were running into a glitch? I don't know...
