Briefly:
* We found a place to live. Not this school district (unfortunately, because it seems as each week goes by the teachers comment on how the kids are just opening up so much.) Also not in a district with an English school. So quite likely I will homeschool 2, 3 or 4 of the kids next year. It's just too hard to make them start all over again.
* Our new home has to have much work done before we can move in. We have 2 months still.
* It'll be interesting to be very close neighbors to a family with 10 kids (7 of them boys, as active as our 5 boys.)
* The neighbors mom speaks Swedish with their kids (and English to me!); their kids speak Finnish with each other; it'll be interesting to see the mixture of language our youngest 2 will have several months into our living there!
* I'm still trying to process the fact that we're really moving again. And it's not back to America.
* Today C (3) told me, as 'we' were hanging clothes on the line, that he wants to put the 'open and close' pin on! :-)
* L (4 1/2) learned how to ride bike without training wheels today. His big brothers were his teachers, and we were all his cheerleaders!
Just think of all the languages that will be flying around there!!! Makes my head spin. But would be such of a neat experience too. I love languages so I would love to just hear it all! :)

ReplyDeleteSounds like you found a great place. Watch out for that family with 10 kids-- large families like us have a reputation for being crazy!
